The next meeting of SGWS is a site visit to Terex Trucks Newhouse site. This will be on Wednesday 26th October at 1.00pm – lunch will be provided and some of us will be given the opportunity to drive round the test track.
Martin Dolan of Terex Trucks will be giving a short presentation and tour of the factory. All 7 models of Terex trucks are manufactured in Scotland. Terex Trucks’ heritage can be traced back to 1934 when the world’s first off-road dump truck was created. This pioneering new machine offered a straightforward, no-nonsense solution for every hauling application, from mining to construction work.
We are limited to a maximum of 18 places, so first come first served. Only 6 people are able to drive a truck on the test track due to time and supervision constraints, names will be drawn from a hat to decide who gets to drive.
If you wish to attend you must be a fully paid up member and submit your name before 1pm on the 24th October. If you are unsure of your membership status or wish to register to attend, please contact us.
