Glasgow Airport

We visit Glasgow Airport at 2pm on the 12th April for a tour of NATS and the Airport Fire Station. Originally home of the Royal Air Force 602 Squadron beginning in 1932 the Abbotsinch site became HMS Sanderling when the Royal Navy took over sole use in 1943. The Sanderling Bell can still be found in the Sanderling restaurant inside the terminal building.

Places are limited to paid up members. A Hi-Vis jacket is required and those wishing to attend must send copies of photographic ID (Driving Licence or Passport) by the 5th April to enable passes to be approved. You need to bring the photographic ID on the day.
